Year 7 Wolfson Prize for economics trip

As part of Year 7’s prize for being runners up in last year’s Wolfson Prize for Economics they were guests of honour today at the King’s Cross re-development office.

The trip began with a talk and discussion about the re-development in relation to living cities, construction, the history of London, public transport and public Spaces.

Both I and our hosts at the developers Argent were very impressed with the student's thoughtful questions and mature conduct throughout this very in depth talk.

After a refreshments break we had a tour of the urban ecology skip garden: a horticultural menagerie planted in re-claimed skips complete with wormery, power generating bikes, yurts and beehives.

I would like to say a big thank you to Angela Jewell, Peter Freeman and Sarah Tripp at Argent for making the visit possible.
