Year 3 Romans' Project

Y3 have had a busy Roman week starting with a visit to Verulamium, St Albans. They were able to see artefacts from the time the Romans built a city there and loved handling some of the objects and looking at the mosaics. A few days later they had the opportunity to dress up as  Roman soldiers and brought in the most spectacular shields which they had made. They had fun making their helmets, marching and learning strategic army moves, such as the tortoise. This was followed by an introduction to using Roman numerals and finishing off with mosaic making. It was a great day.
