Swimming Gala

A very encouraging performance from our swimmers yesterday.

The Year 4 team, who were participating in their first competitive swimming gala performed admirably.  Stand out performances included Casper, who came first in his Breast Stroke race; Tommaso who came second in his Back Stroke race; and Giorgio who came second in his Butterfly race.

The Year 5 team also did well. Darian won his Back Stroke race; Erik won his Breast Stroke race; and Max came second in his Butterfly race.

The Year 6 team also did well, particularly considering several of our most able swimmers were unable to attend. Ianni won his Breast Stroke race and Danny came second in both his Back Stroke and Breast Stroke races.

Our best performances in the relays came from the Year 6 Medley Relay Team, which came first; Year 5 Medley Relay Team, which came second, narrowly missing out on first position and the Year 4 Freestyle Relay Team, which came second.

The overall results were:

Our Year 6 A team came first out of six, but the combined Year 6 team came second out of three.

Our Year 5 A team came second out of six, but the combined Year 5 team came third out of three.

Our Year 4 A team came second out of four, but the combined Year 4 team came second out of two.
