Robotics team through to national final!
No less than two St.Anthony's teams picked up trophies at the recent VEX IQ regional finals hosted by Highgate School this winter with one team progressing to the national final in Birmingham later this year. This is a tremendous achievement considering there were a total of 40 teams competing from 24 schools at the event!
Trophies were awarded to St.Anthony's teams for the design and programming skills they exhibited during the competition. The judges were particularly impressed with our teamwork skills and the autonomous robot score of 9 which, as the second highest of the competition, qualified us for a place in the finals. All the boys have worked really hard at this project and I'm really looking forward to the next stage of the competition. Who knows? perhaps the boys could even get to the international final in Kentucky. My fingers are crossed.
Keep up the good work lads!
