IAPS U13 Football Finals - Bradfield College

On Sunday, 22nd November 2015, the St. Anthony's Prep School’s U13 football team took part in the IAPS 6-a-side Cup Finals, having qualified from a regional competition in early October.

The finals were hosted at Bradfield College, Reading. Wetherby Prep, another school from the Alpha Plus Group, had also qualified for the finals and the two teams were drawn together in the group stages.

St. Anthony's lost the first game against Cumnor House but then went on to get victories against Bede and Formarke Hall and drew with Wetherby. Progression to the semi-finals was decided in the final minutes of the last group game, with St. Anthony's winning 5-4 against Port Regis School. The boys, coaches and parents were delighted but knew extremely strong opposition faced them in the semi-finals. Sadly, St. Anthony's were overpowered by a very talented team from Shrewsbury House who went on to win the Cup.

The coaches and parents were immensely proud of the boys’ achievements. A very successful and enjoyable day!
