First Holy Communion

school boys at holy communion

Seventeen of our Year 3 boys celebrated their First Holy Communion today;  it was a very special day for both the boys and their parents.  They have spent all year preparing with Louise for this important day and they were joined by family and friends, some of whom had travelled great distances to be with them.

The service at St. Mary’s Church was a beautiful one and the congregation were accompanied in song by the Senior House Choir, together with Jonathan Bunney on the organ.  During Communion, one of their Year 3 classmates gave us a beautiful rendition of the prelude from Bach’s Suite 1 in G.  After the service, the boys and their families returned to school, where they enjoyed a delicious reception, prepared by Adrian and the catering team.

With thanks to Msgr. Phelim for leading the Mass and for making the day one to remember for all who took part.
