Chamber choir - video of their recent rehearsal.

The school choirs had a busy time in the Autumn Term preparing for the Christmas Carol service at St. Thomas More, involving the performance of several solo choir pieces. The Senior Choir sang the ‘Song of the Nativity’ with music by Ralph Vaughan Williams, and the Chamber Choir performed ‘Ding dong! merrily on high’ and ‘O Little One Sweet.’ Both choirs sang heartily John Gardner’s arrangement of ‘The Holly and the Ivy’ and the beautiful arrangement of ‘Christmas Lullaby’ by John Rutter.

The Chamber Choir visit to the Spring Grove residential home to sing carols was a wonderful way to conclude the musical events of a long term. The residents gave us a very warm welcome and it was lovely to see the boys sing so well in a different setting and afterwards spending time talking to the residents. It was great to be invited back to Spring Grove and encouraged to take part in their Music Festival.

Thank you.
