World Book Day

Our World Book Day celebrations were a tremendous success this year. The boys in the Junior House participated in a wide variety of bookish activities during their lessons that week and, on the day itself, came into school dressed up as their favourite fictional character, donating money to the school charities. Popular children’s author Jill Murphy (Peace at Last, The Worst Witch)  came to speak to the boys in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.  Boys in Years 3 and 4 enjoyed a visit from newly-published author  Megan Peel (The Fabulous Phartlehorn Affair) who talked about being a writer and ran some extremely inspiring creative writing workshops on the theme Creating Memorable Characters: Vile Villains.

To round off the week, Muswell Hill Bookshop held a book fayre in school.

It was a fun and enriching experience for all involved!
