Science: Year 4 skeletons

Year 4 boys became spooky skeletons in Science, correctly identifying a pile of cut-out bones to create their own skeletons. They then used these to learn the names of the bones.

They went on to discover how important muscles and skeletons are to other animals too, from well armoured crabs to the clues we get from bones about dinosaurs. Sport was also a big focus, with the boys carrying out their own exercise experiment. We discussed footballers’ injuries and saw how Usain Bolt’s unique skeleton and intense muscle training help him run so incredibly fast.
